Here you will find all parent information regarding your dancer's participation in our production of The Nutcracker.
All camp participants must fill out a 2025 Nutcracker Participant Contract, letting us know if you will participate in The Nutcracker. Deadline for completion is August 10. Please complete your contract by clicking the button below.

Prior to workshop, we need the dancer's guardian to complete a form acknowledging receipt of preliminary info, understanding the absence policy, understanding the financial commitment, as well as submitting how many roles your dancers would like to be considered for. This will enable us to know prior to auditions and casting what your preferences are on financial participation.
This form must be completed by July 28.

Our Nutcracker is a much anticipated event. We will be starting our process in the summer offering 2 ballet workshops! We will hone in on ballet technique, discuss the story line and characters with the dancers, as well as jump start Nutcracker choreography. The week will conclude with auditions. If you want to audition for MoveMINT's production of The Nutcracker, you must attend this workshop and audition on August 1.
Alternative Auditions will be held on August 16 from 10-11:30. Please email Catherine at catherine@studioofmovemint.com should you need to schedule your dancer's alternative audition.

Will my dancer always rehearse at the same time each Saturday?
While Saturday rehearsals will always fall between 11:00 - 1:15, we can't guarantee that your dancer will always rehearse at the exact same time each week. Please reserve 11:00 - 1:15 on your calendar for all of our rehearsal dates! In the past, we've provided the first 5 weeks of rehearsal schedule by August 1 and the remaining schedules by October 1. Most rehearsals are in 45 minute time blocks (i.e. 11:00 - 11:45). Dancers cast in multiple roles will likely have multiple rehearsals each rehearsal weekend.
How many parts will my dancer have?
We cast dancers based on the total number of available parts, as well as each dancer's availability and technical level. We'll send a form to each auditioning dancer that allows you to let us know how many parts you are open to this year, based on your family's schedule and budget. With that in mind, we then cast our production based on your dancer's age and technical level. It's possible that your dancer will be open to more parts than they are cast.
Priority access for Nutcracker cast families begins 10/18 at 10:00am, with priority code SUGAR. This code is for cast families only and is intended to be used once per family during the priority sales window (prior to 11/1). We will be monitoring who uses this code, as it is not to be shared outside of the Nutcracker cast. There is no per dancer ticket limit for Nutcracker.
Each Nutcracker family using the priority code receives 3 total complimentary tickets. This discount will be automatically applied at checkout during the priority sales window (10/18 - 10/31). Tax will still be applied.
General access for Nutcracker tickets is November 1. Please share with your friends! Sensory friendly performance tickets go on sale November 15. So that we can allow access for attendees who need our sensory friendly performance, we kindly ask that Nutcracker cast families not purchase sensory friendly tickets. We will let everyone know closer to the show date if we have tickets available, should you want to join us in the audience for the sensory friendly performance.
