Studio of MoveMINT is beyond thrilled to offer amazing guest artist classes this summer. On select Tuesdays and every Thursday in our summer series, we will be hosting guest artists for our intermediate to advanced dancers (including adults).
These classes are also open to anyone! Don't currently attend Studio of MoveMINT but would like to drop in for one of these classes? You can!
These classes are included in summer tuition if you are registered for these offerings and for the entirety of the summer. Drop in rates are as follows:
Our guests will be teaching 2 classes every Thursday this summer. You must meet the age and technique requirements to join.
Select Tuesday offerings will be during class time from 6-7pm.

Jaiquan Laurencin is an educator, performer, and choreographer born and raised in Hartford, Connecticut. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Dance Education from Texas Woman’s University, where he was awarded Undergrad Excellence in Performance. He was given the opportunity to train at Earl Mosley Institute of the Arts, attend multiple dance festivals, compete with a hip hop company and take summer intensives such as Noble Motion Dance Intensive. As a performer he has danced for companies such as Dark Circles Contemporary Dance, Pedestrian Dance Movement, EQuilibrium Dance and a guest performer with NobleMotion Dance. He was able to work with renowned artists such as Sidra Bell, Gabrielle Lamb, Mike Esperanza, Mark Caserta, and Gregory Dolbashian to name a few. Choreographically he has worked with nonprofit organizations such as performance theaters, pre-professional and professional companies, and multiple dance studios teaching and creating original works. Currently he’s serves as a Dance Director at Grand Prairie Fine Arts Academy, while teaching and choreographing around Dallas-Fort Worth, hoping to grow and inspire the next generation of artists.

JAZZ & CONTEMPORARY/MODERN

Gabriel Speiller is a creator, educator, and performer originally from Queens, NYC. He graduated with a BFA from Belhaven University and received his MFA from The University of Arizona where he was awarded the most outstanding graduate in the school of fine arts. Gabriel has previously danced with Bruce Wood Dance Dallas, Paul Taylor 2 and Ad Deum Dance Company, where he toured both nationally and internationally. Gabriel was recently selected as one of Dance Lab New York’s Fall Lab cycle choreographers as well as Dance Canvas’s Career Choreographic Initiative choreographers. In 2024he was one of eight choreographers chosen from throughout the world for the Ann & Weston Hicks choreography fellowship at Jacob’s Pillow. His work has been commissioned by Pointeworks, Pegasus Contemporary Ballet, Bruce Wood Dance Dallas, Ballet North Texas, Ruth Page’s professional dance training program , Perry Mans-field Performing Arts School, Ruth Page Studio Training Company, Zion Dance Project, Ad Deum Dance Company, Texas Christian University, The University of Arizona, Belhaven University, The University of Louisiana, and more. Several of Speiller’s dance films have been presented at various festivals such as the PNB Dance Film Festival, Red Rock Screen Dance Festival, and Dance Studies Association Conference in Vancouver. As a creator Gabriel is interested in investigating and portraying various human experiences in a way that generates a visceral reaction for both the performers and audience members. Some of his performance highlights include performing at the Joyce and Jacob’s Pillow. As well as performing works by Yin Yue, Garrett Smith, Kevin Jenkins, Bryan Arias, Frank Chaves, Katarzyna Skarpetowska, Omar Roman De Jesus, Bruce Wood, Paul Taylor, Joy Bollinger, Gregory Dolbashian, and many more.

Jessie Ferguson, born and raised in Houston, Texas, holds a BFA in
Dance from the George Mason University School of Dance. She began her dance training at Move Dance and Fitness under Mallorie Marion and is a 2020 graduate of the Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, where she trained under Janie Carothers and Courtney D. Jones.
Throughout her training, Jessie has performed works by Martha Graham, Sidra Bell, Amy Miller, Janie Carothers, Gage Self, Courtney D. Jones, Anna Lopez, and Hadiya Matthews, among others. A highlight of her performance career includes dancing Steps in the Street by Martha Graham, an experience that deepened her appreciation for lineage, discipline, and the emotional rigor of modern dance.
Choreographically, Jessie has developed a voice grounded in curiosity,
connection, and the power of movement as a form of communication. In 2022, she was selected for the Aimed Dance Emerging Choreographer Fellowship through the Young Artists Program, where she premiered Telephone. Her work When the Owl Came to Me was presented at the 2023 Barnstorm Dance Fest in Houston, TX; DPRTRE7 was performed by BOOT Dance Project at {254}DANCEFEST in Waco, TX in January 2025; and FORGE was performed by BOOT Dance Project at Break-In Dance Fest in Houston, TX in August 2025. Jessie was also commissioned by Rice University to create a new work for their Fall 2024 performance.

leads a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating opportunities for
Texas-based dance artists and audiences. BOOT focuses on fostering
growth, education, and community through performances, artist
development initiatives, and audience engagement programs.
CONTEMPORARY

Jenna Davis (she/her/hers) is a dancer and creator from Dallas, Texas. She graduated from SMU Meadows School of the Arts with degrees in Dance Performance and Film & Media Arts. While in school, she performed work by Mike Esperanza, Silas Farley, Molissa Fenley, Cameron McKinney, and Matthew Neenan, among others. After graduating, she spent time in research and process with Ethan Colangelo, Ella Rothschild, and Tom Weinberger at NuovaX and NOD, in Turin, Italy. She performed as a company artist with B.Moore Dance, under the artistic direction of Bridget Moore for multiple seasons beginning in 2022. Over the years she has researched internationally, moving in workshops and processes facilitated by artists such as Sidra Bell, Mike Esperanza, Joshua Peugh, Annamari Keskinen and Ryan Mason, and Olga Rabetskaya, among many others. She has choreographed work for a wide array of dance and theatre productions in Dallas, and also has a growing body of solo choreographic work. She is a movement photographer, whose work has been featured in programming at The Joyce Theatre, SMU Meadows School of the Arts, Edinburgh Fringe Fest, Finding Compassion, and for Grackle Dance Collective. She currently works between the States and Europe- moving, creating, photographing, and sharing.

Anna Gilday Vaughan is originally from Kansas City and attended Oklahoma City University where she graduated with a Bachelors in Performing Arts for Dance Performance. After graduating, Anna moved to Texas when she was hired to be a dancer for the Mary Kay National Seminars. From there she went on to dance for companies such as Southwest Airlines, Taco Bell, Norwex, DIFFA, and Lorna Jane Activewear. You may have seen Anna in a national commercial for Gold’s Gym and dancing in a Chuck E. Cheese commercial. When Anna is not performing, she spends her time passing on her passion for dance to the younger generation. She has been awarded Outstanding Choreographer for one of the most prestigious competitions in the world, YAGP, and many other specialty awards. She loves helping students grow in their crafts and preparing them for the industry the best she can. Anna looks forward to moving and grooving with Studio of MoveMINT and getting to witness the heart, passion, and artistry these dancers have!

JAZZ

Derrius J. Harmon (Bang) began dancing in high school, at the age of 17, at Oscar Dean Wyatt High School. He spent his senior year training in jazz, ballet, and modern. Bang attended Tarrant County College where he joined the resident pre-professional dance company, “Velocity.” Soon after, Bang ventured into other styles like hip-hop (popping, locking, waving, tutting, house, etc).
He has worked with industry professionals on music videos, movies, as well as trained with some of the top choreographers in L.A. Bang has danced and choreographed for artists like Leon Bridges, as well as local artists. Currently teaching all over the DFW area, Bang embraces his love for choreographing by empowering the youth, and aims to help dancers train and prepare for the dance industry.

Hip - Hop

Caroline Berko Hurt – originally from Kansas City, received her BFA in Ballet and minor Business last year at Texas Christian University on a dance scholarship. She began her training at the Kansas City Ballet School under the direction of Alecia Good and Sean Duus, where she participated in the Young Tanzsommer festival in Austria. Caroline has attended the summer programs of notable dance companies including those of Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Ballet Austin, Kansas City Ballet and Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet.
Upon graduation, she relocated to Dallas and began her teaching career. Caroline continues to discover her passion for dance by teaching and choreographing across the DFW metroplex. She also has discovered her love for fitness and teaches Reformer Pilates. Caroline has been featured in D-Magazine multiple times for her involvement in the fitness community, and was voted best Barre Instructor. She is certified in Progressing Ballet Technique which promotes safe and effective cross-training for dancers. Caroline is a Lululemon ambassador, and has found her "niche" teaching private pilates and ballet at her "in home" studio in Dallas.
