Meet Catherine Roe

Dance Educator

Originally from San Antonio, Catherine discovered her love for movement at a young age in her first dance classes. She began her early training with Scott Conway and Buddy and Susan Trevino at the San Antonio School for the Performing Arts, and holds a BFA in Ballet from Texas Christian University. While at TCU, Catherine had the opportunity to perform in a number of works, notably the Pas de Six from Napoli and Gerald Arpino’s Birthday Variations as Mauve Girl. After graduating, she joined Ballet San Antonio, where her favorite roles included Grandma in Gabriel Zertuche’s The Nutcracker and Little Red Riding Hood in The Sleeping Beauty.

An interest in non-profit administration drew Catherine to the thriving Dallas arts community in 2015, and a need to keep movement in her life after transitioning into a “desk job” led her to The Ballet Burn. After a year as a client, she went through extensive training with founder Margot Martin and became a part of the team of instructors that opened the first Ballet Burn studio. When she moved to Fort Worth to work with Texas Ballet Theater as Community Enrichment and Summer Intensive Coordinator in 2017, she new that The Ballet Burn had to come too! Catherine brings four years of fitness teaching experience in Dallas, Fort Worth and San Antonio to her Ballet Burn classes, and she can’t wait to share this addicting workout with Fort Worth!
