Originally from San Antonio, Catherine discovered her love for movement at a young age in her first dance classes. She began her early training with Scott Conway and Buddy and Susan Trevino at the San Antonio School for the Performing Arts and holds a BFA in Ballet from Texas Christian University with a minor in Education. While at TCU, Catherine had the opportunity to perform in a number of works, notably the Pas de Six from August Bouronville's Napoli and Gerald Arpino’s Birthday Variations as Mauve Girl. After graduating, she joined Ballet San Antonio, performing in ballets by Gabriel Zertuche and Ben Stevenson, O.B.E.
A career shift toward arts administration led Catherine back to DFW in 2015. She worked with Texas Ballet Theater as Educational Programs Manager, coordinating and growing TBT's national audition tour, summer intensive, community engagement, and adaptive dance programming for five years. Catherine currently spends her days with RightGift consulting with nonprofits across the country and her nights at SoM!
