Proper dance attire is required for student participation. This ensures the safety of your child as well as a professional and disciplined learning environment for our dancers.
Ballet dress code is designed to allow the teacher to see the visual “line” of the dancer. All ballet students should wear tights underneath their leotard. Dancers of color may choose to wear a traditional ballet pink tight or a flesh-toned tight to match the natural skin tone. For all students, tights and shoes should match. The Dance Shop can assist with matching tights and shoes.
Dancers taking another class before or after ballet will not have time to completely change clothes, so they will need attire they can wear over their ballet clothes. It is extremely important that dancers are on time to each class, so changing attire completely will not be permitted. We recommend purchasing “transition” ballet tights for this purpose.
We appreciate your cooperation! For any questions concerning the dress code, please email the office: info@studioofmovemint.com
We recommend The Dance Shop for all dance apparel, appropriate shoes and accessories.
