Kayla is a versatile dance professional from California with 12 years of dance experience, 6 of which were spent competing. As a member of a traveling convention company, she traveled nationwide, assisting top choreographers and supporting competition events. Her favorite dance styles include ballet, contemporary, acrobatics, and jazz. Kayla has showcased her talents on international stages, competing in prestigious ballet competitions such as the Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) and California Dance Classics.
She further refined her skills by training at the Joffrey Ballet School summer intensive for two summers, where she studied a variety of styles under world-renowned dancers and choreographers. Kayla has been teaching all styles of dance for six years now, and she is excited to continue her journey supporting the dancers of tomorrow.
In addition to her strong dance background, Kayla holds certifications in CPR, Acrobatic Arts Module 1, Acrobatic Arts Preschool, and International Dance Teaching Standards. She has a particular passion for teaching young children, especially ages 2-5, and has experience working with dancers with physical and mental disabilities.
Currently, Kayla is pursuing a Master of Medical Science degree at the University of North Texas Health Science Center, continuing to enhance her ability to support her students both in and out of the studio. In her future, she aspires to become a Pediatric Sports Medicine Physician to take care of young athletes both on and off the stage and the field.
