Kayla Ashton is a versatile dance professional from Southern California with over 12 years of training and 6 years of competitive stage experience. As a company member with Dance League, she traveled nationwide assisting renowned choreographers including Desiree Robbins, Natalie Willes, Mike Wittmers, Chris Moss, Ashley Silva, and Eric Stretch.
Her favorite styles include contemporary, acrobatics, and jazz. She has performed on international stages and competed in prestigious ballet competitions such as the Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) and California Dance Classics. To further her training, Kayla attended the Joffrey Ballet School summer intensive for two years, studying a wide range of styles under world-class teachers and choreographers.
With seven years of teaching experience, Kayla is passionate about inspiring dancers of all ages and especially loves working with young children ages 2–5. She holds certifications in CPR, Acrobatic Arts Module 1, Acrobatic Arts Preschool, and International Dance Teaching Standards. In her hometown, she established the area’s first Adaptive Dance program and is excited to continue this work in Texas.
In 2024, Kayla graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a focus in Exercise Science from California State University, Long Beach. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Texas at Arlington while continuing to share her passion for dance. She aspires to become an ICU nurse and help people of all ages improve their quality of life.
