2026-2027 New dancer registration opens May 19.
Abby Hattaway is a proud native of Kilgore, Texas. She was a member—and later Captain—of the Kilgore High School Hi-Steppers, where her passion for dance and leadership began to flourish. Abby also trained with the Longview Ballet Theatre, developing a strong foundation in classical ballet. During her time with the company, she had the opportunity to perform in multiple professional productions alongside Ballet West of Utah, including Sleeping Beauty, Aladdin, and Cinderella. She also trained at many other dance studios, including East Texas Dance Company, where she eventually found her love for teaching.
Following high school, Abby was selected for the 83rd line of the World Famous Kilgore College Rangerettes. She earned her associate’s degree from Kilgore College before transferring to Texas Christian University, where she is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.
Now in her second year with Encore Creative Productions, Abby choreographs original halftime and contest routines for high school drill teams across Texas.
