Annie Cellar, from Denver, Colorado, began training in dance at the age of seven. She has trained extensively in jazz, ballet, tap, modern, contemporary, lyrical, hip hop, and ballroom. Having danced competitively for ten years, she has been both regionally and nationally recognized with awards and scholarships. She is currently pursuing a BFA in Modern Dance and a BS in Mathematics from Texas Christian University. After receiving seven years of pre-professional training from Sweatshop Dance before college, she is passionate about continuing to share her knowledge and love for dance in a professional manner to younger dancers.
At the age of fifteen, Annie began her teaching career. She taught jazz, tap, and lyrical at Sweatshop Dance and co-founded a club at her high school called “Tap Tuesday,” where she taught weekly tap classes to high school students. She has choreographed numerous pieces of work, including a group tap competition piece for Sweatshop Dance where she additionally provided private coaching for soloists. Annie has also had the opportunity to dance in Dallas Black Dance Theatre: Encore! and to work with well-known choreographers for performances in DanceTCU. Furthermore, she has danced in the opening act at the Kelsea Ballerini concert during TCU's Sesquicentennial Celebration. She has attended summer intensives including the Limón Dance Company intensive at Perry-Mansfield, Bruce Wood Dance WOOD | WORKS, New York City Dance Alliance Summer Dance Intensive, and Peridance Blueprint Intensive. Annie is excited to share the joy she finds through dance with the dancers at Studio of MoveMINT.
